At the beginning of this week Spencer and I had the pleasure of going on a City Tour with Chicago Helicopter Experience! I was super excited about this experience because i had never been on a helicopter and what better city to explore on a helicopter than Chi town?! Am i right?!

When we arrived we were a few minutes early so we put our belongings in a locker and waited. It sounds a little silly but one of my favorite parts about the experience was that while we waited they had little games such as checkers, cards, corn holes, etc. They definitely hook it up for you while you’re waiting!

Once we were called to start the tour we went into a little room where they showed us a video of how everything works, safety rules, etc. We were assigned seats and we got front row sitting, woot woot!

We got on the helicopter, put on the headphones they provide in order to hear the pilot when he speaks and vise versa and we were off! I had never seen Chicago from above and it was just such a magical experience. We went during golden hour which i feel like made the experience even better. The pilot was super helpful with a lot of fun facts about Chicago. So if you’re not a local this tour is even better for you!

The tour lasted about 30 mins and it was just such a wonderful experience. So much that spencer now wants to learn how to fly a helicopter hahaha! Go figure. Honestly, I don’t know what took us so long to do this tour. If you are a local or a tourist i definitely recommend taking this tour. It’s so worth it.
